The Ondo State Bureau of Statistics came into being in September, 2010 through the upgrading of the Department of Research and Statistics in the Ministry of Economic Planning Budget by the Ondo State Statistics law, 2010. The Bureau generates and disseminates comprehensive, timely, reliable, demand-driven and user-focused statistical information relating to the social and economic conditions of the inhabitants of Ondo State. It coordinates the State Statistical System and collaborates with Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as Local Government and Individuals. The Bureau serves as an authoritative source and custodian of Official Statistics in the State. Data collected for statistical purpose shall be treated as confidential.

To create a proactive, coordinated, well managed and resourced system capable of meeting statistical data and information needs of the State towards sustainable development of the State and poverty reduction.
Our Mission:

The functions of the Bureau are:
1. Coordinating the State Statistical system;
2. Advising the State and Local Governments on all matters relating to statistical development;
3. Developing and promoting the use of statistical standards and appropriate methodologies in the State Statistical System;
4. Collecting, compiling, analyzing, interpreting, publishing and disseminating statistical with other agencies, both Government and Non-Government Agencies;
5. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive socio-economic data bank;
6. Liaising with Local, National and International Organizations on statistical matters; and
7. Carrying out all other functions relating to statistics as the State Government may assign to the Bureau.
